Side Street Studio in Oak Bay Village, Victoria, has been selling the work of British Columbia artists for over 26 years. Currently the Studio represents over 320 local B.C. artists and the web site www.sidestreetstudio.com has over 2000 pages of unique and exceptional value local artists work.
Unique and original pottery, jewellery, textiles, glass-art, wood turnings and carvings, sculptures and west coast photography; all unique and one-of-a-kind. Side Street Studio is privately and has the support of six highly trained and helpful staff. Susan & Nigel Hayes own the studio and have a commitment to provide a showcase for the best and art that B.C. can offer. Susan has an extensive background in senior retail management working for companies such as The Burton Group and Alfred Dunhill Far East Ltd. While Nigel’s experience has been in marketing for companies such as Max Factor and Citibank.
Our staff all have experience of Canadian art. Bonnie Bailey managed the retail arm of one of Winnipeg’s largest pottery co-operatives for many years. while Karen McCaig started and owned a successful pottery retail business on Vancouver Island for over 6 years. Sheila Smedley is one of our Jewellery artists who produces outstanding work for sale both at our studio and on-line. Sheila will also design custom made work for you.
